文獻原件藏於俄國,寫本,其中《七功德譚》為偈頌體,作者是印度大師世親(Vasubandhu),內容講述如何獲得長壽、無病痛、殊妙容色、善緣、高貴種姓、財富、智慧等七種功德,是根據藏譯本再譯為西夏本。《佛說止息賊難經》為長行,是依據法賢的漢譯本再譯,內容敘述如何持誦陀羅尼以滅止賊難。本文除將二篇內容譯出外,並分別與漢、藏本逐字對勘,而校註其同異。
