广东省蕉岭县是全国率先实现农村电气化的县之一。这个县的水电局在抓实现电气化的同时,大抓职工文化技术教育工作,为实现电气化培训技术力量起到了很好的效果。这个县的水电系统共有392人,其中大中专文化程度的只有41人,占4.6％,而初中文化程度以下的则占大部份,很不适应电气化发展的需要。为改变职工文化水平低的现状,他们设立培训机构,配备专职干部;花27万元钱建立培训基地,付出5万多元培练费用;为报考大专院校的职工提供信息、提供资料,先后有46人进院校深造;办短期培训班7期,培训315人。通过培训
