果园盖草,是烟台果农在生产实践中探索出的一项果园土壤管理技术措施.1981年以来,省农业厅推广了牟平县果园盖草的经验。6年多来,各地实践证明:这一技术措施很适合全省果园推广应用。许多果农对果园盖草已开始认识,果园盖草面积不断扩大,盖草的方法和质量也有了改进和提高。为了改善全省果园土、肥、水状况,促进稳产、优质,1988年,各地要把推行果园盖草技术,作为一项主要任务来抓。计划全省果园盖草面积达到200万亩,占结果园面积的60%左右。为此要大力宣传果园盖草的好处.
