《曙光》杂志是五四以后新思想、新思潮在社会上广泛传播之际创办的一本进步刊物。刊物创办之初以科学促进社会改革为宗旨,广泛宣传科学救国思想。不久,《曙光》的编辑思想发生了深刻转变,大量登载介绍苏俄的文章,表现出社会主义倾向。这一转变与马克思主义在中国的广泛传播,以及主要成员深受具有马克思主义思想的先进人物的影响是分不开的。《曙光》编辑思想的转变,正是中国先进知识分子对俄国十月革命有较全面的认识并进而接受社会主义过程的缩影。
“Dawn” Magazine is a progressive publication created after the new thoughts and new thoughts were widely spread in the society since the May Fourth Movement. The beginning of the publication of science to promote social reform for the purpose of science, widely publicize the idea of saving the country by science. Soon, the editorial thinking of “Dawn” has undergone a profound transformation. A large number of articles introducing Soviet Russia have been published, showing the tendency of socialism. This shift is inseparable from the wide spread of Marxism in China and the influence of the leading members of Marxist ideology among the chief members. The transformation of the editorship of “Dawn” is precisely the epitome of the advanced intellectuals in China who have a more comprehensive understanding of the October Revolution in Russia and thus accept the socialist process.
