“中国工业合作社”运动,简称“工合”运动,是抗日战争时期在国民党统治区和共产党领导的抗日根据地开展的一场经济救亡运动。它对于组织群众开展生产自救,克服经济困难,支援长期抗战,发挥了积极的作用,在抗战经济中占有重要地位,曾被誉为战时“经济国防线”。一工合运动是在国际友好人士倡议下,在各种抗日进步力量的共同努力下产生的。其最初发起人是新西兰友人路易·艾黎和美国进步记者埃德加·斯诺及其夫人尼姆·韦尔斯。
The “China Industrial Cooperative” movement, or “Gung Ho” movement, was an economic salvation movement during the anti-Japanese war in the anti-Japanese base area led by the Kuomintang and ruled by the Kuomintang. It has played a positive role in organizing the masses to carry out self-help in production, overcoming economic difficulties and supporting the long-term war of resistance. They have played an important role in the anti-Japanese war economy and have been hailed as the “economic defense line” in wartime. One of the workers’ unification movements came into being with the joint efforts of various anti-Japanese progressive forces under the initiative of international friendly persons. Initially sponsored by New Zealand friend Louis Alley and the U.S. progressive reporter Edgar Snow and his wife Nimes Wells.
