台北荣民总医院近期成立了台湾第一个分子医学中心,研究重点为当前国际间最先进的基因治疗法。 杨文光研究员指出,台湾从事的基因治疗研究,目前主要分为基因疫苗及复方基因治疗两大类。基因疫苗是从人体组织取出有用的基因,纯化后制成疫苗打入人体,来刺激患者的免疫能力,防止病症再发。复方基因治疗是找出特定的单基因(自杀基因),将其植入人体后自行寻找癌细胞并将其歼灭,同时还加入细胞生长激素,刺激病人的免疫能力,以达到双重治疗的目的。经动物实验证实,罹患脑瘤的小白鼠,在注射基因疫苗及施予复方基因治疗后,有80%可以继续存活。 该中心目前设有三个实验室:1.分子医学共同
The Taipei Veterans General Hospital recently established the first molecular medicine center in Taiwan. The research focuses on the most advanced international gene therapy methods. Professor Yang Wenguang pointed out that the gene therapy research in Taiwan is currently divided into gene vaccines and compound gene therapy. Gene vaccines are used to extract useful genes from human tissues. They are purified and then injected into the human body to stimulate the patient’s immunity and prevent the recurrence of the disease. Compound gene therapy is to find a specific single gene (suicide gene), implant it into the human body to find and destroy the cancer cells, and also add cell growth hormone to stimulate the patient’s immune ability, in order to achieve the purpose of dual treatment. It has been confirmed by animal experiments that 80% of mice with brain tumors can continue to survive after the injection of genetic vaccines and compound gene therapy.
