The Doppler Imaging Continuous Wave (CW) CO 2 Lidar system described herein produces a velocity image by scanning the scene with a laser beam, coherently detecting scattered radiation and measuring the presence of Doppler shift. The image examples given are given and their potential applications are pointed out.
