佛教自印度传入中国,从汉代开始产生影响。这种影响,表现在艺术上就是以“佛教”为题材的佛教绘画就是在佛教的繁荣兴盛中逐渐成长并发展成熟。中国人物绘画发展兴盛始于魏晋南北朝,经历唐、宋、元、明、清等中国历史中各时代的绘画艺术风格以及佛教绘画与传统绘画的演化过程。这个过程,就是中国文化对外来佛教融合消化,最终以一种中国人能够接受和热于欣赏的艺术形式出现,形成了中国佛教的民族样式。佛教人物画的早期——魏晋南北朝这一时期出
Buddhism came into China from India and began to exert its influence from the Han Dynasty. This kind of influence is manifested in the fact that the Buddhist painting with the theme of “Buddhism” is gradually growing up and matured in the prosperity of Buddhism. The flourishing development of Chinese figure painting began in the Wei, Jin and Northern and Southern Dynasties.
