According to Gas Turbine World’s September-October 2009 reports, GE will supply the engine system builder MTU with one LM2500 gas turbine to power the German Navy’s first F125 frigate, which is licensed by GE Marine System By. The Baden-Wurttemberg frigate will use a hybrid diesel electric propulsion and gas turbine co-drive unit (CODLAG) system.
