It has been found that the application of some aromatic acids and jasmonates at the time of harvest inhibits the germination of stored potatoes. Aromatic acids and iasmonates can be a great incentive for the organized potato market because synthetic agents are not allowed in the market, and the most widely used germination inhibitors in the United States are synthetic.
