对黄土高原较完整的晚新生代风尘堆积序列的磁性地层研究表明 ,风尘堆积成壤序列开始发育的时代约为 7.2Ma,如果认为亚洲季风气候的起源与青藏高原的高度密切相关的话 ,风尘堆积在 7.2Ma的出现则可能意味着青藏高原在此时达到了有意义的高度 ,东亚古季风环流基本建立 .黄土高原的红粘土序列由 7个显著的红色黄土层以及与其相间的 7个古土壤组合组成 ,它们记录了 7.2~ 2 .6Ma的晚第三纪东亚古季风演变的历史 .
The magnetic stratigraphic study on the relatively complete late-Cenozoic dust deposition sequence on the Loess Plateau shows that the sequence of the onset of dust deposition pedogenesis sequence is about 7.2 Ma.
