学习任何语言都需要大量阅读。英语学得好的人,一般说来,都读过相当数量的书;反之,也只有读得比较多的人,才能真正学好英语。阅读在英语学习中起着不可替代的重要作用。阅读量的多少很大程度上决定了英语水平的高低。根据教育部颁布的英语新课标的要求,学生在高中毕业之前英语阅读量要达到20万词以上,这也体现在对学生阅读理解能力的考查中。不论是中考、高考,还是各种英语水平考试、出国留学考试,阅读理解题永远都是主角。
Learning any language requires a lot of reading. English-language learners, in general, have read a considerable number of books; the other hand, only read more people can really learn English. Reading plays an irreplaceable important role in English learning. The amount of reading largely determines the level of English. According to the requirements of the New English Curriculum and Standards promulgated by the Ministry of Education, students should read more than 200,000 English words before graduating from high school. This is also reflected in the examination of students' reading comprehension. Whether in the entrance exam, college entrance examination, or a variety of English proficiency test, study abroad exam, reading comprehension questions will always be the protagonist.
