2008年是全面贯彻落实党的十七大做出的战略部署的第一年,是北京奥运会的举办年,也是我国改革开放30周年。中石协2008年工作的总体思路是:以党的十七大精神为指导,紧密围绕党和国家工作大局,以办好中国观赏石博览会·2008携手奥运北京精品展为抓手,树立精品意识,加强先进赏石文化建设;坚持普及与提高并举,开发与保护并重的原则,维系两大体系建设,切实把组织石友、引导石友、服务石友和维护石友合法权益的工作落到实处;坚持开拓创新,努力推进中国观赏石文化大发展大繁荣。具体要抓好十项重点工作:
