The composition and function of computer aided monitoring system of locomotive diesel engine ferrography are introduced. The system uses effective monitoring methods and calculation procedures, with the help of computer functions, to realize the computer management of locomotive diesel engine iron spectrum monitoring. It provides a useful tool for accurately forecasting the operating status of locomotive diesel engine and lays the foundation for the final establishment of an expert system for locomotive diesel engine iron monitoring.
