Since the mid-1970s, all metal prices have actually been falling. According to the statistical results of six metals (aluminum, copper, lead, nickel, zinc, iron ore), their prices have dropped by 20-60%. Assuming a capital output ratio of 3 and no other concurrency changes, the price drops by 10%, which means that the capital recovery rate has dropped by 3%. For 10% and 20% of normal capital recovery rates, the drop in prices has severely hurt profitability. The price increase of precious metals (gold, silver) is greater than that of oil. Expensive gold price changes can basically be measured by the price controlled by the U.S. Reserve Committee since 1931.
