New energy, also known as unconventional energy, refers to various energy forms other than traditional energy sources, including solar energy, wind energy, biomass energy, nuclear energy, geothermal energy, hydrogen energy, and ocean energy. With the increasing shortage of traditional energy resources, the development and utilization of new energy has attracted wide attention from countries around the world. More and more countries are adopting policies and measures to encourage new energy, and the scale and scope of use of new energy are continuously expanding. At present, China’s energy and environmental problems are serious, and new energy development and utilization are receiving increasing attention. On the one hand, new energy supplements traditional energy, and on the other hand, it can effectively reduce environmental pollution. It is of great significance for China to develop a low-carbon economy, improve energy structure, and promote sustainable economic development. In this issue, we invited some experts in new energy sources to talk about new energy sources from different aspects and hope to help readers.
