“剪灯三话”是明代的三部传奇小说集《剪灯新话》、《剪灯余话》、《觅灯因话》的统称。洪武十一年(1387),钱塘人瞿祐写成了一部以元末明初的乱世为背景,融合男女奇情、士人感怀与幽冥鬼魅元素的传奇小说集《剪灯新话》。《新话》成书四十二年之后,李昌祺于永乐十八年(1420)写成拟作《剪灯余话》。万历二十年(1592),邵景詹写成《觅灯因话》。三部书很快合刻刊行,
“Three words cut the lamp ” is the Ming Dynasty’s three legendary novel “cut the new words”, “cut the rest of the light”, “looking for the cause of the lamp,” collectively.
