The national cotton exchange market is a standardized and modernized cotton exchange market that the State Council decided to set up and was sponsored by the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives. It is not a for-profit service organization. The headquarters of the National Cotton Exchange Market is located in Beijing and implements computer network management. It has set up workstations in some major cotton producing areas and production and sales areas and has set up a website of China Cotton Information Network on the Internet.
