由我院遥感地质研究室负责组织院内普遍地质教研室、测量教研室、水文地质教研室以及华中农学院土壤学教研室、华中师范学院地理系等单位参加,共29人,一年时间完成“(1/50万)陆地卫星图像武汉幅农业自然资源系列图”八幅,包括地质图、地貌图、侵蚀切割密度图、土壤图、水系水域图、森林草地图、土地利用现状图和土地类型图.1984年4月4日,湖北省科委邀请省内外学者、专家及专业人员在我院对该成果进行了评议.与会代表一致认为:武汉幅系列图编制目的明确、手段先进、方法得当、效果明显,已取得的成果满足了1/50万比例尺及设计的精度要求.证明了利用遥感技术是多、快、好、省地开展农业自然资源调查和区划的有效途径.
