《中美混合修辞的崛起:兼读中式签语饼》以华人学者的视角审视全球化语境下生活在“修辞边境”(rhetorical borderlands)和“接触地带”(contact zone)的美籍华人修辞话语的形成及意义。作者以“签语饼”(fortune cookie)隐喻中美混合修辞,形象地指出二者都是出于两种不同传统的对抗和融合。混合话语越来越成为全球话语的特征,在这样的社会及学术语境下,该书对中西方修辞传统所进行的一系列对比和深入剖析,不仅有着深刻的学理意义,而且对于中国当代国家修辞和话语建构有着积极的现实意义,也为中国修辞学和话语研究提供了新的视角和范式。
“The Rise of Mixed Rhetoric between China and the United States: A Study of Chinese Signature Cake” A Chinese scholar examines the life style of “rhetorical borderlands” and “contact zones” in a context of globalization The Formation and Significance of American Chinese Rhetorical Words. By metaphoring the mixed rhetoric of Sino-American rhetoric with “fortune cookie ”, the author vividly states that both are out of confrontation and integration of two different traditions. Mixed discourse has become a feature of global discourse more and more. Under such a social and academic context, the series of comparative and in-depth analyzes of Chinese and Western rhetorical traditions not only have profound academic meanings, but also are of great value to contemporary Chinese countries Rhetoric and discourse construction have a positive and practical significance, but also provide a new perspective and paradigm for the study of rhetoric and discourse in China.
