The Third National Congress of China Association of Science and Technology was held in Beijing on June 23-27. Ye Lianjun, Ouyang Ziyuan, and Liu Ruoxin, the three representatives elected by this Council, attended the meeting. Mr. Tu Guangchi, the invited representative, took a sick leave. 1823 Official Delegates to the Conference 213 invited representatives. Officials represent 94.5% of science and technology personnel, accounting for 57.5% under 55 years of age. The agenda of this conference is to listen to the work report of the 2nd China Committee of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, review and amend the constitution of the Association for Science and Technology of China, the election
