我场栽种在山地红壤的柑桔(蕉柑、甜橙、椪柑等),从1960年定植开始,生长浓绿壮旺,1963、1964年开始少量结果后,进行了深翻改土,埋下大量山草,1965年进入丰产期,产量从亩产1000斤到6600斤,高的达12000多斤。然自1971年起树势开始衰退,产量下降,起初整个柑区叶色退绿,接着呈现黄化,冬季落叶秃枝,1972年秋整片柑园表现一片衰退现象,根系检查则有严重的烂根。烂根程度从50—95%,整片柑园子1973年冬全部砍除。
