沙漠地区每年的降水量通常不到25厘米。由于缺少降雨和降雪,沙漠十分干燥。世界上最干燥的沙漠是智利的阿塔卡马沙漠,其中部分地区没有留下任何降雨的记录。
The annual precipitation in the desert is usually less than 25 centimeters. Due to lack of rainfall and snowfall, the desert is very dry. The driest desert in the world is the Atacama Desert in Chile, where no rainfall has been recorded in some areas.
