I. INTRODUCTION The epidermis is an ever-changing organization whose thickness remains constant under normal conditions. There must be some kind of homeostasis regulation mechanism, there are many facts that this is a negative feedback. Feedback regulation requires the exchange of information, so far known, the transmission of information between cells is carried out by the chemical messenger. Since the self-stabilizing mechanism of epidermal tissue is considered negative feedback, it is reasonable to assume that the chemical messenger that delivers information may be some sort of substance that inhibits epidermal cell division. In the early 1960’s, Bullough et al. Experimentally demonstrated that there is actually such a substance in the epidermis and named it with the word “chalone.” In the past decade or so, there have been many reports on the study of somatostatin. And someone tried to explore the mechanism of somatostatin regulation
