无论是8位还是16位、32位微型计算机系统,软磁盘机是其不可少的外存储器。计算机的系统软件、应用软件和用户文件全部存放在软盘土。因此要全面地、深入地了解微型机系统,就应该熟悉、掌握软磁盘子系统的有关基本概念和工作原理。本文将论述微型计算机软磁盘子系统的定义、组成与作用;它们的技术发展概况及其软盘控制器功能和具体任务;并介绍专用的大规模集成电路软盘控制器;最后通过剖析IBM-PC/XT软磁盘子系统,进一步具体说明这个问题。
Whether it is 8-bit or 16-bit, 32-bit microcomputer system, floppy disk drive is its essential external memory. Computer system software, application software and user files are all stored in the floppy disk soil. Therefore, a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the microcomputer system, it should be familiar with and master the basic concepts of floppy disk subsystem and working principle. This article will discuss the definition, composition and function of microcomputer soft disk subsystem, their technical development and their functions and specific tasks of the floppy disk controller, as well as the introduction of a dedicated large-scale integrated circuit floppy disk controller. Finally, through the analysis of IBM-PC / XT Soft disk subsystem, to further illustrate this problem.
