戚墅堰机车车辆修理工厂发现了加少量铝可以提高激冷铸铁白口深度的现象,并在生产实践中具体运用这一方法来控制冶铸车轮的白口深度.但这一现象与另一众所周知的事实即铝是强墨化剂,显然有所矛盾.是否铝在某一微量范围内和一定的条件下,可能发生与墨化剂相反的作用呢?假设如此,那末铝又通过怎样一个机构发挥它提高铁水激冷程度的作用呢?这是值得研究的问题.由于该 厂对整个问题还缺乏深入系统的研究,例如没有分析铁水中究竟含多少铝,也就无法确定微量铝与白口深度的系系;又如处理用的铝所含杂质是哪些,对铁水的影响又如何等等也都没有肯定,因此现在来推测加铝提高白口深度的理论,为时尚属过早.尽管如此,我们仍决定把这一发现介绍出来以供需用单位试用和研究的部门作进一步的探讨.
