黄河河源查勘队自完成任务返回后,陆续接到了国内各地不少的慰问信件,其中天津水利部灌溉工程局工务科吴树海同志,有鉴于河源查勘队在黄河上游高原地带进行工作中由于气压低,做不热饭,给查勘队的工作造成很多困难并对工作同志们的身体健康有所影响,特地来信介绍他研究出来的在低气压下做热饭的行军锅。我们认为吴树海同志的这种关心祖国事业的热情及积极钻研的精神,值得钦佩。这种行军锅已经黄河水利委员会机械工程大队依图仿制,并带往高原地带试用,如果试用成功将对今后在高原上进行工作以极大便利,特将原图发表,供大家研究改进。

Comrade Wu Shuhai, Engineering Department of the Irrigation Bureau of Tianjin Water Conservancy Department, given that the work of Heyuan investigation team working in the upper reaches of the Yellow River has not been completed due to the low air pressure, Doing hot meals, causing many difficulties to the work of the investigation team and influencing the health of the working comrades, specially wrote a letter to the march pot he had developed to make hot meals under low pressure. We think Comrade Wu Shuhai’s enthusiasm and positive study of this concern for the cause of the motherland deserve admiration. This march pot has been imitated by the Mechanical Engineering Brigade of the Yellow River Conservancy Commission and brought to the plateau for trial.
