做好减轻学生过重课业负担工作,关系到青少年一代的健康成长、素质教育的实施乃至整个国家的前途和命运。在当前我国建设社会主义和谐社会的新形势下,这一问题更为重要,需要全社会方方面面的共同关心和努力。2005年10月16日,以“切实减轻学生过重负担,营造有利于青少年健康成长的社会环境”为主题,民进上海市委举行了本年度“上海民进教育论坛”。参加此次论坛的有上海市副市长严隽琪、市教委副主任瞿钧以及上海教育界、出版界、文化界和街道社区等方面的多名人士。现从政府职能、社会氛围、学校实践以及文化建构等多个视角选择刊登会上的部分发言,以飨读者,并期冀引起进一步的思考。
Doing a good job in alleviating the burden of overworking students has a bearing on the healthy growth of the young generation, the implementation of quality education and the future and destiny of the entire country. Under the current new situation of building a socialist harmonious society in our country, this issue is even more important and requires the common concern and efforts of all sectors of society. On October 16, 2005, with the theme of “practically alleviating students’ excessive burdens and creating a social environment conducive to the healthy growth of young people,” the CIIC Shanghai Municipal Party Committee held this year’s “Shanghai People’s Progress Education Forum.” The forum included Yan Junyi, the vice mayor of Shanghai, Qu Jun, deputy director of the Municipal Commission of Education, and a number of individuals from Shanghai’s education, publishing, cultural and community communities. From the perspectives of government functions, social atmosphere, school practices, and cultural construction, we will select some of the speeches in the publication to readers and expect them to arouse further thought.
