随着网络技术的普及,网络观念也日益深入人心。一个个小局域网在各个国家机关,企事业单位如雨后春笋一般建了起来。一开始,这些局域网相互间是完全隔绝的,就象大海中的一座座孤岛,岛上的人们内部交流沟通非常方便。但是当这些内部联网单位之间需要交流数据的时候,问题出现了。是将数据拷到盘上再邮寄/携带过去,还是将数据打印出来,传真给对方,再由对方录入到计算机中呢?显然,两者都很不方便。只有织一张更大的网,将这些相互间需要通信的小局域网连起来才是唯一合理的解决之道。对绝大多数单位来说,建一个广域网最常用的方法就是在各个局域网上安装一个或多个选型配置适当的路由器,通过适当的广域通信手段将网络连接起来。用怎样的广域通信线路将各个局域网连接起来是一个很重要的选择。考察一下建设和运营广域网的总成本我们会发现,通信线路
With the popularization of network technology, the concept of network is also gaining popularity.
