牙周新附着是口腔医学界长划探索的问题之一。出于牙周病患牙的根面常产生各种变化,以至与周围组织生物学上不相容,从而影响了牙周组织新附着。在1890年代,Younger报告在牙周病患牙根面应用乳酸,做为机械去除牙结石和牙骨质的辅助方法,并期望通过酸的应用,恢复病牙根面的生物学活性,促进牙周组织附着。近年来,Register等对弱酸在牙周治疗中的应用进行了广泛的动物实验及临床研究,筛选出了能够诱导牙周组织再生和促进新附着的最好药物,并阐明了酸的作用机理及有关问题。本文拟就这些方面作扼要地介绍。
