院博物馆是从北京迁校武汉后重新筹建的。经过一年的努力工作,现已初具规模,并于十一月九日在学部委员、院长王鸿祯教授的主持下隆重开幕。博物馆占有面积一千平方米,巳筹集到各类标本近二万块。馆内设立有普通地质、矿物、岩石、古生物、构造地质和矿床等陈列室,现展出标本三千多块,预计明年将继续筹建地史、古脊椎动物陈列室,使院博物馆内容更为丰富和完善。
The museum was reconstructed from Beijing after it was relocated to Wuhan.
