In 1999, the internationally renowned “BusinessWeek Canada” named Wang Huiyao a cover figure and praised him as “messenger of wealth”. From a young educated youth who came to the countryside more than 20 years ago and now an elite figure among the new generation of Chinese businessmen, Wang Huiyao has gone through a successful path by his own abilities, diligence and wisdom. In 1977, he entered the university from a remote rural area in Sichuan province and became the first university student after the Cultural Revolution. After graduation assigned to Beijing for the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation for three years. He went to Canada in 1984 and became one of the earliest Chinese students in Canada who graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, then Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario in Canada. In 1987, he was invited to Japan to give lectures to large Japanese companies. In 1988, he joined Canada’s largest engineering consultancy SNC-Lavalin as Managing Director for International Markets.
