德国功能派翻译理论起源于译员培训,强调翻译的目的和功能,重视译者的社会性,对翻译教学有一定的指导作用。本文从大学英语翻译教学实践出发,联系高校理工科学生翻译学习的重要性和特殊性,探讨功能派翻译理论对这一群体翻译教学的意义,认为功能派翻译理论符合理工科英语翻译教学期待。
German functionalist translation theory originated from translator training, emphasizing the purpose and function of translation, paying attention to the translator’s sociality and guiding translation teaching. This paper starts with the practice of college English translation teaching and discusses the importance and particularity of translation learning in science and engineering students at colleges and universities. The significance of functionalist translation theory in this group of translation teaching is also discussed. It is believed that functionalist translation theory is in line with the expectation of English translation teaching in science and engineering.
