建設局的工作,在這一年中,是以工程為主並確定以興修下水道工程爲重點。公用事業方面,是在已有的基礎上,加强督導與管理,使各公司逐步走向企業化,此外,建築管理,農林設施等,也都有所改進。大體說來,一九四九年十二月至一九五○年二月底止,為接收整理階段,三月份以後漸入正軌。回顧解放一年來的重慶市政建設工作,是有相當成績的,但是仍有很多地方是急待改進的,茲將各項工作情况分述如下:
