This is a leading science institute, referred to as BH-ИPO. Its main tasks are to organize and coordinate marine fisheries research and experimental design work and provide operational guidance to marine scientific research institutes in various regions. The Institute may undertake research independently or in conjunction with the various regions of the world’s living marine resources to make rational and effective use of the world’s living marine resources. Built in 1933 by the All-Su Marine Fisheries and Oceanography Institute, the institute was established on the basis of the merger of the Central Institute of Fisheries Science and the National Oceanographic Institute.
