At the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, France, in February 2003, the conference focused on how to better connect the camera module MP3 player to the handset’s application processor. Currently, 20 camera modules with 20 different interfaces are listed, which causes two major difficulties for handset suppliers. One is that it is difficult to reduce the cost, and the other is that it is difficult to improve hand-held camera image performance. To this end, handset IC manufacturers have put forward solutions. TI and ST work together to develop open mobile applications
