The Paris Special Representative for more than 140 countries and dozens of international organizations held the second United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries in Paris from September 3 to 14. After two weeks of general debate and consultations, participants formulated the “Program of Action for the Least Developed Countries for the 1990s” in line with the long-term national, social and economic development goals of the least developed countries themselves and adopted the Paris Declaration to Stop the further deterioration of the economic and social conditions in these countries, and revitalize and accelerate their development.
