“Teaching is not to teach,” Ye Lao’s famous saying goes to teach the essence. However, it is undoubtedly the key to the question of what to “teach” to achieve the goal of not teaching. The traditional Chinese teaching is often limited to simple knowledge transfer such as “words and sentences, phrasing and writing”. Therefore, the teacher dissects and synthesizes the knowledge “from point to line, from line to face, and from face to body.” A complete knowledge system has been fragmented and turned upside down. Teachers think that they are fully speaking and thoroughly speaking, but students do not get much, and their results are not good. This kind of teaching is “hello” at best. Students can “eat” it. If they can digest it, they will not be able to control it. Then they “eat” and they must rely on “feeding.”
