First, the establishment of the Central Institute of Literature Central Institute of Literature was established in the winter of 1950. I enrolled on February 20, 1951, becoming the first class of students. On the day of registration, Ding Ling asked me to talk about the purpose of setting up the Institute of Literature. She said: “The original writers who mainly cultivated workers and peasants were born. Over 40 people are currently employed, the vast majority of whom are workers and peasants who were drawn from various sources. However, a handful of intellectuals are also enrolled, with the original intention of wanting them Can help the workers and peasants to improve their culture, which in turn can be affected by the feelings of the workers and peasants. Later they fail to realize that the intellectuals can not afford to see the culture of workers and peasants. The workers and peasants can not understand the living habits of the intellectuals. Now I hope there will be a few people who engage in theory and only five or six who intend to engage in theory. Therefore, we intend to compile these intellectuals into one group and engage in theoretical criticism and may further expand into a research laboratory in the future, ”Work together."
