谁的成本低谁就会在激烈的市场竞争中占据主动。如何降低网络系统的整体拥有成本(TCO)成为网络建设中最应该考虑的问题,过去是,现在更是。 降低网络TCO,首先要清楚网络需要在哪些方面花钱,然后才能看出这些钱花的合不合理。网络中需要花钱的地方包括软硬件的直接投入、使用和维护的成本、购买服务的花费以及技术的可迁移性带来的投资使用效率方面的隐性成本。为这些方面支付一个最合理的账单就意味着您获得了理想的TCO。为实现这一目标,需要用户通过全面分析、合理规划、科学计算,显然这并不是一件轻而易举就能办得到的事,因为TCO不仅要考虑当前,更要考虑未来。所以,组建一个既能满足近期应用需要,又要符合较远期发展目标的企业内部网系统,最重要的选择就是怎样获得最低TCO。
