工刀马旦的卢月玲,毕业于广州市文化艺术学校,曾就读中国戏曲学院附中戏曲表演系。其基本功扎实,唱做念打俱佳。卢月玲在广东香山粤剧团有限公司和广州粤剧院有不少演出机会,她演出了《盘丝洞》、《杨门女将》、《扈家庄》、《凤吉公主》、《凤台关》、《白龙关》等剧目,并且很多都是以刀马旦为主。她还荣获第五、六届广东省演艺大赛金
