1982年,大学毕业的李东生回到家乡惠州,在 TCL 集团的前身 TTK 公司做技术员。那时候,他的目标是当好一名工程师。1987年,时任 TCL 集团副总经理兼通力公司总经理的李东生访问飞利浦总部,他看到飞利浦当时研发部门有1万多人,而自己的生产技术部只有十来个在敲敲打打,他的第一个反应就是:难以超越,差距太大了!然而17年后,在获选2004年CCTV 十大经济风云人物时,李东生感言:他最大的愿望是将 TCL 创建成世界500强的企业。
In 1982, Li Dongsheng graduated from university and returned to his hometown of Huizhou, where he worked as a technician with TTK Corporation, the predecessor of TCL Group. At that time, his goal was to become an engineer. In 1987, Li Dongsheng, then deputy general manager of TCL Group and general manager of KONE, visited Philips headquarters. He noticed there were over 10,000 Philips R & D departments at the time, and only 10 of his own production technology department were beating and hitting him.
