宗法的内在结构可以概括为以子继父、以兄统弟、以嫡统庶,这一结构可以导出宗法的政治—社会功能,即尊祖、敬宗与收族的合一。由于这样的结构与功能,使得宗法不仅成为人与人之间的人伦共同体,而且成为生者与死者交通的人神共同体,这一共同体成为周人一统天下之策的环节,因而具有重要的政治与社会功能。
The internal structure of the patriarchal clan can be summed up as a stepfather, a brother brother, and a common brotherhood.
