国外松又有人叫国外良种松,一般是指我国引种数量较多的湿地松、火炬松、加勒比松而言(加勒比松喜温,不耐寒,我省大部分地区不适合种植)。湿地松、火炬松都具有生长快,树干通直,材质优良,含脂量高,病虫害少,适应性强的特点,是很好的速生优良用材树种。据资料介绍,二十三年生湿地松,胸径平均二十三公分,二十七年生湿地松林每亩可产材二十五点三立米,年生长达零点九一立米,二十至三十年就可以采伐利用。火炬松前十年生长迅速,年高生长约一米,径生长一点三公分以上,二十五年生树高二十一米,胸径二十至三十公分。我国引种的湿地松生长也很迅速,比马尾松快百分之五十以上,火炬松生长更快,比马尾松大一倍左右。
