Mites, tiny bugs less than 1 millimeter in length, some are only 0.1 millimeters long, are hard to see with the naked eye. If we observe with a microscope, we will find that the mite is actually a “eight-legged spider.” As a highly viable creature, mites are ubiquitous: almost all of them can be found in the air, in the earth, in the water, and in a variety of plants and animals. As of now, people have found more than 50,000 species of mites. Some of them have plants as their own homes, some depend on animals, and others have used the human body as a permanent base to live and prosper generations after generation. No one knows how many mites in the world are there, but there’s no doubt that it’s a terrible thing to eye them!
