According to the climate characteristics, China can be divided into three districts: centralized heating, transitional areas and decentralized heating. Some areas in Shanghai, Anhui, Hubei, Jiangsu, Henan, Sichuan, Zhejiang and Jiangxi are transitional areas. Due to the poor thermal insulation performance of the current urban residential building envelope structure in the transitional area and the lack of heating and air-conditioning equipment, the indoor and outdoor thermal environment in winter and summer is very poor. As residents are increasingly adopting various ways of heating, the energy supply and demand ambition in the region is becoming tight. This article discusses starting from improving the thermal performance and rational design of the envelope structure without setting up heating equipment.
