在民国学人看来,公文白话化的渊源在于《尚书》,其前奏与背景则是白话文运动,进程则滞缓于文学。个中原因,既有语言因素,公文的程式结构与文言长期契合,白话一时难以取代;也有社会政治因素,标举文言在于维持精英主义的知识体制和特权阶层的文化霸权。其文白的分野标示着阶级的对抗与话语权力之争。
In the opinion of the scholars in the Republic of China, the origins of the vernacular calligraphization lie in Shangshu, its prelude and background are the vernacular movement, and the process lags behind in literature. The reason for this is that both the linguistic factors, the formal structure of the official document and the long-term convergence of the classical Chinese are difficult to replace in one-hour words. There are also socio-political factors. The target language of identification is to maintain the elitist knowledge system and the cultural hegemony of the privileged class. Its division of language marked the struggle between class antagonism and discourse power.
