我们站设立在山西省西北边沿的古长城脚下,担负着左云、左玉、平鲁三县的水土保持科学试验和总结推广群众改土治水先进经验的任务。这里,属黄土丘陵风沙缓坡区,风大沙多,土壤瘠薄,十年九旱,无霜期短,水土流失严重,粮食产量很低。但是,土地宽广,水、草资源丰富,发展农、林、牧潜力很大,又是这里搞好科学试验,促进生产发展的有利
We stood at the foot of the ancient Great Wall at the northwestern edge of Shanxi Province, shouldering the scientific experiments in soil and water conservation in the three counties of Zuo Yun, Zuoyu and Pinglu and the task of summarizing and popularizing the masses of advanced experiences in soil and water conservation. Here, is a loess hilly wind sand gentle slope area, windy sand, barren soil, ten years nine drought, frost-free period is short, soil erosion is serious, the grain yield is very low.
