《营造法式》是宋代官方编定的建筑技术专书,全面反映了宋代的建筑设计、结构、构造、施工和工料定额等多方面的技术水平与艺术特点,是现存最重要的古代建筑典籍之一。二十世纪二十年代以来,开始受到学术界的重视,先后两次印行,建筑史学界的梁思成、刘敦桢、陈明达诸老辈学者都对它进行了深入研究,先后出版专著。在他们倡导下,当代建筑史界专家也相继开展研究,成果斐然。
