岩画始于史前,是人类表现自我、表现自身创造力的最原始的形式。中国是岩画资源大国,从北到南,远古的先民们在岩石上为我们留下了丰富的遗存。但对于岩画尤其是它的断代和相关族群的研究,一直都是世界性的难题,专家们至今未能达成共识。《英国剑桥科技史》中有这样一句话:“考古界唯一能确定的是一切都不可确定。”岩画的研究同样如此。
Rock paintings began in prehistoric times, is the most primitive form of human self-expression, self-creativity. China is a great rock resources country, from north to south, ancient ancestors in the rock left us a rich legacy. However, the study of the rock paintings, especially its dynasties and related ethnic groups, has always been a worldwide problem. Experts have so far failed to reach a consensus. “History of Science and Technology in Cambridge, United Kingdom,” there is such a sentence: “The only thing the archaeological community can be sure is that everything is uncertain. ” The same is true of the study of rock paintings.
